Kelp comes up while [[Fishing|fishing]], as a small additive catch on most casts. It does not replace your fish, it comes up alongside it. Higher fishing [[Mastery]] and a higher level [[Fishing Rod]] increase how much you reel in.

Kelp is a core upgrade material for tools, above all the [[Fishing Rod]], the [[Watering Can]], and the [[Foraging Basket]].
