'''Pets''' are passive companions in StepHarvest. They head out on timed expeditions while you play, returning with loot and experience, and they grant small bonuses during your hands-on activities.

== Getting a pet ==

== Expeditions ==
Expeditions are the main pet activity. Choose a destination, invest steps from within its range, then wait for your pet to return. More steps mean a longer trip but more loot. Only one expedition runs at a time.

When your pet comes back, tap '''Collect Loot''' to receive its haul and experience. Higher pet levels improve both the quality and the quantity of loot. You can opt in to a notification for when a trip ends.

Pets earn experience from expeditions, up to level 10. At level 10 a pet can '''ascend''': it resets to level 1 and unlocks one permanent perk. A pet can ascend up to five times, for up to five perks.

While your pet is with you, it boosts your hands-on activities. Each bonus grows by 1% for every pet level.
